During the previews for the Return of the King last night i saw and advert for the NS-5 so i went there today. Wow. If it is real and can do what it says it is really freakin amazing. I’d like to know the projected costs of ownership. Seems to me it has some lofty claims that seems almost impossible. How does a robot see an object and recognize it for what it is and what is is for? Especially if it sees a bottle of pepper with no label. Almost every human would know that the bottle with stuff resembling pepper on the stove next to a bottle of stuff resembling salt would know without a label what each bottle contains. But how would a robot make the determination? Can it see that well or have that much programed into it? I would love to see this thing in action. Comes out July 16 (2004?).
In other news. The RIAA got a setback today from a Washington DC court. Their subpoena process is now illegal.It’s about time, I’m tired of these big corporations abusing their powers to make profits and screw their consumers.
